Radio Base Camp

Catch a Wave- it’s about summer, music festivals, surfing and swimming and hitting the beach- today’s Radio Base Camp show is a bit different than my regular shows -its time for us to raise money for nonprofit radio WPKN. 

 I’ll be playing an international Music mix to help you get going this morning with hopes of getting you to raise some money for my show and all of the shows we present. What is Radio Base Camp?

Radio Base Camp with Steve di Costanzo is focused on new releases and old gems across many genres but it is heavy on psych, garage, indie, funk and soul, Afro-beats, and world sounds from Jamaica to Morocco. I am particularly interested in playing under-the-radar artists and cult bands

The show’s name has to do with my love of mountains, trekking, and climbing. I associate an expedition “base camp” with the similar joy that music brings into my life.
