End Times Conversations

In Chapter 4 of Revelation, John is caught up into heaven, into the very throne room of God where he witnesses the elders, angels, and creatures declaring the foremost reason that God is worthy to receive “all glory and honor and power” for all eternity. That reason is a crucial point in conveying the Gospel and explaining why Christ is truly the only way to God the Father.
In Chapter 5, the scroll which holds the key to all future events is presented, but John weeps in grief because no one is found who is worthy to open the scroll. Thankfully, the Lamb of God is found worthy, but why did John fall into such despair? What’s so important about the scroll that causes him to lose hope if its contents are not revealed?
