Elisha prophesies that the famine will be dramatically ended the next day, but one of the king's captains scoffs at this, whereupon his death is predicted as well. Four lepers are the first to find out that the Syrians have left the camp and left all kinds of food and wealth behind, too. With a little coercing from his servants, the king lets a small group of people check to see if the coast is clear. When this is validated, the people trample the captain who scoffed at Elisha.
