Tim Griffin brought music to work with him as an elementary teacher at Title I schools in Los Angeles. Following the model of educational music programs such as Schoolhouse Rock, Tim wrote songs to help his students remember key ideas and vocabulary from lessons in science, math, and other subjects. In 2012, Tim gave up his tenure to start a nonprofit called Griffin Education or GriffinEd for the creation and sharing of educational music as a tool for learning STEM and other academic topics.
