Redefining Resonance

This week on Redefining Resonance, I'm joined by Joe Dennis, Associate Professor and Chair of the Mass Communications Department at Piedmont University. Joe grew up in Chicago, a city rich with music, but even though he wasn’t a musician himself, his love for music never wavered. Instead, he found his passion behind the microphone as a radio DJ. In this episode, Joe talks about his love for all kinds of music, with a special focus on the 80s hair rock scene. We'll also dive into how radio and live music shaped his world, and how his work connects people to the magic of music.

What is Redefining Resonance?

Music is a powerful force that impacts people’s lives every single day! It’s more than just sound waves in the air; it's a feeling, a connection, and a story waiting to be told. Hosted by Lainey Pettit, Redefining Resonance takes a deep dive into the many ways music has had a full impact on the lives of individuals. From musicians, music educators, concertgoers, well-rounded enthusiasts, and more there is bound to be a story that inspires, moves, or teaches you something. Start your week on the right note with new episodes every Monday at 8 AM.
