As broadcast August 19, 2021 with extra late night content for you podcast munchers. To start the show, we remember an iconic television program which debuted on this date in 1972. Hosted by Wolfman Jack, Burt Sugarman's "The Midnight Special" was a brilliant bit of late night music-centered production that aired after "Late Night with Johnny Carson" until 1981. After that, there was a ton of new funk & soul to get through with new joints from The Bamboos, Neal Francis, and Jordan Rakei amongst other luminaries. After 9pm our main man on the drums here in Gwangju Dan Lloyd dropped by to bless us with his usual analysis of the best in the world of rock and/or roll for this week, with some unexpected news thrown in regarding The Cure as well.
