Kieron Byrne is the awesome guest of episode 2 of The Third Beer Podcast. He’s a sports coach and psychologist and another mate of my co-host Chris Dickson.

Kieron Byrne also has the willpower of a saint when it comes to diet because he’ll die if he eats fructose. No joke. Go into a coma and die. I have a feeling Kieron had to battle his own demons since he was a kid. Fructose is in everything these days! Then when Kieron’s infant daughter’s kidneys began failing, he had to throw everything he had at keeping life together. Kieron’s learnt so much and lives such a disciplined life, he’s working in positive psychology. Kieron also coaches talented teenage basketball players.

What is The Third Beer Podcast?

The Third Beer is a regular Podcast hosted by Psychologist Chris Dickson and Brett McCallum. Each week they invite a special guest into the studio to talk about men’s health, mental health and general wellbeing whilst sharing a few beers. The focus is on those subjects that blokes find it hard to talk about. Brett has already shared a year-long mental health journey with the help of Chris, and although he is still a work-in-progress, Brett has seen himself become a better human being. While the chat with each week’s special guest will take place in a very informal setting and with an informal style, the conversation and topics are taken 100% seriously.
