More than a million people have signed Marcus Rashford's petition calling for children from poor families in England to get free meals in school holidays.
The Manchester United and England forward wants the government to provide free lunches amid fears for incomes as coronavirus restrictions increase.
His Parliamentary petition says that "no child should be going hungry".
Last week, British politicians rejected an extension of the provision of free school meals, saying they has already introduced more effective measures to support families.

イギリス政府は新型コロナウイルス流行に伴うロックダウン中、貧困家庭救済のために学校給食の無料制度を今年の7月で終了する予定でした。
ラッシュフォード選手は議員宛の公開書簡を公表し、子どもの頃に無料給食に支えられたという自身の経験を交えながら、「食に飢える子供がいるべきではないと」と政府に方針の変更を訴えていました。
ボリス・ジョンソン首相と電話で会談し、方針の変更を取り付け、イングランドで130万人の子どもたちが、夏休み中も無料で給食を受け取ることができるようになりました。
しかしながら、政府は無料給食制度の継続は今後継続しないと先週発表し、異なる方法で困窮している家族を支援していくと説明しました。
