ABOUT THIS LECTURE: Today we live in an age where travel is commonplace and extremely convenient. However, in the Rabbinic world, travel was an adventure, an experience, and a potential conduit for transformation. In this session, we’ll explore several stories from the Talmud that describe journeys the Rabbis took, the characters they met, and the lessons they learned in their travels—and what these lessons can teach us today! The session is open to all levels of experience with Talmud, and all texts will be both in the original and in translation.
