Government has identified the following as key to driving productivity and sustainability across Ireland’s built environment: Research and innovation; the circular economy; offsite and other modern methods of construction (MMC); the skills gap; digitising the planning system; and Build Digital, which is guiding the industry through the BIM mandate and ICMS.  

Five years on, we sit down with PJ Rudden, Chairman of Innovation and Digital Adoption for Construction Sector Group (CSG) within the Department of Public Expenditure NDP Delivery & Reform, to get an update on where the industry is at and what needs to happen next.
