उज्ज्वलः भाषाभिमानः

कदाचित् डा.रघुवीरः प्रवासावरे एकस्मिन् फ्रेञ्च्-जनस्य गृहे अतिथित्वेन वासम् अकरोत् । तदवसरे भारतात् आगतम् आङ्ग्लभाषया लिखितं पत्रं दृष्ट्वा गृहस्वामिनः पुत्री पृच्छति 'किमर्थं आङ्ग्लभाषया व्यवह्रियते ? स्वीया लिपिः भाषा वा नास्ति वा?’ इति । एतां घटनां ज्ञातवत्या बालिकायाः मात्रा उक्तम् - 'देशाभिमानः भाषाभिमानः च यस्य न स्यात् तं बर्बरं भावयामः वयम् । इतः‌ परं भवान् अन्यस्मिन् गृहे अतिथित्वेन वासं कर्तुम् अर्हति, न तु मम गृहे।'

Curious, she asked, “Why is English being used? Don’t you have your own script or language?”. Upon hearing this, her mother, having understood the situation, remarked firmly, “One who lacks pride in their country and language, we consider uncivilized. Henceforth, you may stay as a guest in another home, but not in mine.” This incident powerfully highlights the importance of national and linguistic pride, and how deeply it is valued in cultures that honor their heritage.

What is बालमोदिनी?

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
