Bathing With God

Six years after writing Bathing with God, Glenn Ostlund returns to the bathtub conversations that helped reshape his relationship with belief, imagination, and judgment. This opening episode places his 2020 narration beside his present-day perspective as a folklorist, therapist, and creator of the Polyvagal Roadmap of Emotions. Along the way, he revisits Mormonism, atheism, Buddhism, Alan Watts, Conversations with God, and the question of whether a constructed story can still be meaningful and real. The episode unfolds inside a 6 Hz theta binaural soundscape designed for stereo listening. Headphones are required to experience the full intended left-right frequency difference precisely.

What is Bathing With God?

A man who does not believe in God begins hearing a mysterious voice in the bathtub. It asks, "Who are you? Why are you here? Could you pass me the soap? And do you really understand the intelligence that resides within every atom of your body?" What followed was a series of conversations that changed this man forever.
