That anti-Psalm is uncomfortably relatable -- the restlessness, the distrust, the sense that our cup is never quite full enough. But Psalm 23:5 offers a radically different vision. God prepares a table before us, anoints us with oil, and causes our cup to overflow -- and He does all of this in the very presence of our enemies. The threats do not disappear. The enemies are still watching. But they cannot touch us, and that changes everything about how we carry ourselves through a world full of danger and uncertainty.
