Author of Dreamland Sam Quinones joines Carrie and Allison to discuss his book, which tales America’s opioid crisis. Sam walks us through what made him interested in the opioid crisis and what made him ultimately decide to write a book. Also discussed is Ohio’s role in the opioid crisis and how it was a prime market for drug use. We talk about how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the opioid crisis, and what’s to come in the future as we fight against the use of opioids. Sam also gives a preview as to what we can expect with his new book, a follow up to Dreamland, coming in late 2021.
