सेवा क्षालयति पापम्

पूर्वस्मिन् जन्मनि उत्पन्नया प्रतीकारभावनया काचित् गर्भवती नर्तकी अग्रिमजन्मनि राजगृहे हारीतिः नामिका यक्षिणी भूत्वा नगरस्थान् बालान् चोरयित्वा खादनम् आरब्धवती । राजा तस्याः बन्धनं कारयित्वा कारागृहे स्थापितवान् । गौतमबुद्धेन तस्याः पुत्रः अपहरणीयः इति राजभटाः आदिष्टाः । तथा कृते हारीतिः पश्चात्तापं अनुभवन्ती पापात् कथं विमुक्तिः प्राप्तव्या इति प्रार्थितवती ।
