नक्षत्रेषु दृष्टिः

षोडशे शतके इटलीदेशे कश्चन बालकः दिवं गतां मातरं दर्शयतु इति पितामहीं पीडयति स्म । कदाचित् पितामही गृहाङ्गणं प्रति आनीय 'आकाशस्थेषु असङ्ख्येषु नक्षत्रेषु अन्यतमत्वम् आप्तवती अस्ति तव माता । त्वमेव अभिजानीहि' इति वदति । गच्छता कालेन नक्षत्रवीक्षणं तस्य स्वभावः जातः । प्रौढत्वे प्राप्ते नक्षत्रवीक्षणाय सः एकं दूरवीक्षकं सज्जिकृत्य नक्षत्राणां ग्रहाणां च गतेः अध्ययनम् आरब्धवान् । कालान्तरे सः 'श्रेष्ठः खगोलविज्ञानी' जातः । तस्य नाम गेलिलियो इति ।
