From 1619 to today, America has been built and maintained through white supremacy:
Slavery.
The 3/5 Compromise.
The Middle Passage.
Jim Crow.
Lynchings.
Genocide of Native Americans.
The Mexican-American War.
Asian internment camps.
Church-protected sexual abuse.
Gun violence.
January 6.
This is not a coincidence.
This is a pattern.
When people voted for Donald Trump, it wasn’t about “economics” or “family values.”
It was about maintaining power.
Maintaining hierarchy.
Maintaining white dominance.
“Traditional family values” has always been coded language for white supremacy.
If we actually want a just, equal society, white people must stop deflecting, stop minimizing, and stop centering our own discomfort — and start telling the truth.
Accountability is the work.
Silence is complicity.
