Ascend Men

Welcome to the C3 Advent 2023 series with this devotional written by the Breathe ministry.

Today's Scripture:
 "Therefore encourage and comfort one another and build up one another, just as you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11

3 tips on how to encourage people the God way:

1. Be intentional with what you say and how you say it. 
"Don't use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.” Ephesians 4:29

2. Be consistent
"But continually encourage one another every day, as long as it is called "Today" [and there is an opportunity], so that none of you will be hardened [into settled rebellion] by the deceitfulness of sin [its cleverness, delusive glamour, and sophistication].” Hebrews 3:13

3. Put others first
"Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:4

WHAT IS ASCEND MEN?
Imagine a community of men who are challenged, inspired and equipped to live passionate lives for Jesus. A place where men-care-for-men through a small number of honest personal relationships initiated and supported by regular male-oriented events. Relationships are built shoulder-to-shoulder doing stuff in preference to eye-balling each other!
