She's a singer, writer, rapper, spoken word artist, activist, and aspiring attorney. Her name is Amira Daugherty and she is taking the world by storm and she's just getting started.

Known as @AmiraUnplugged on social media, Amira is a 2019 graduate of Agnes Scott College who uses her gifts as a talented singer, writer, rapper, spoken word artist, and activist to inspire and empower those fighting for social justice causes. She also uses her creativity to create space to empower diverse groups of people to achieve their goals.

She performs on the physical and virtual stages worldwide, and she is currently working on and releasing her own music and her first poetry book. Listen to her powerful story as a hijabi, black, and hearing impaired woman and how, although only at the beginning of her journey, she has developed her voice and how much of an impact she's already made on the world, and she's just getting started.
