सौभाग्यवती भव

'ज्येष्ठाः नन्तव्याः‌' इति आचारः लोके अस्ति । स्नेहं, विश्वासं, आत्मीयतां च वर्धयित्वा सुरक्षाकवचं निर्माति नमस्कारः । इयं कथा तस्य उदाहरणं भवितुम् अर्हति । कुरुक्षेत्रयुद्धे यदा भीष्मः युद्धे पाण्डवान् हनिष्यामि इति घोषणम् अकरोत् तदा कृष्णस्य वचनानुसारं मध्यरात्रे एव द्रौपदी भीष्मावासं प्राप्य नमस्कृतवती । नमस्कुर्वतीं पौत्रवधूं दृष्ट्वा भीष्मः सहजतया 'अखण्डसौभाग्यवती भव' इति आशीर्वादं कृतवान् । द्रौपद्याः एकेन नमस्कारेण पाण्डवानां जीवदानं लब्धम् ।

There is a custom in the world that the elders should be respected. By nurturing love, trust, and closeness, one builds a protective shield through the act of salutation. This story serves as an example of that. During the Kurukshetra war, when Bhishma declared that he would kill the Pandavas, Krishna instructed Draupadi to visit Bhishma’s camp and get his blessings. Following Krishna’s advice, Draupadi went to Bhishma’s tent at midnight and respectfully bowed to him. Seeing his granddaughter-in-law bowing, Bhishma naturally blessed her, saying, "May you be eternal Sowbhagyavati". Through this single act of respect, Draupadi ensured the Pandavas' survival.

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
