Reading 1 Kings Chapter 16

Several kings of the northern kingdom of Israel kill each other in quick succession while Asa is reigning in the kingdom of Judah. God sends the prophet Jehu to warn of their doom. One of them commits suicide in a burning tower after only claiming kingship for a couple of days. Then we are introduced to Ahab and his very wicked wife, Jezebel. Read from the World English Bible.
