चिन्तनमात्रात् न हानिः

कश्चन शिष्यः गुरुं पृच्छति यत् - सर्वदा निषिद्धानां एव वस्तूनां स्मरणं भवति । किं करणीयम् इति ? तदा गुरुः वदति -  'निषिद्धविषायाणां चिन्तनमात्रेण न कापि हानिः भवति । किन्तु पुनः पुनः‌ स्मरणात् तेषु प्रवृत्तिः भवेत् इत्यतः सद्विषयाः एव चिन्तनीयाः । तदर्थं सत्कार्येषु प्रवृत्तिः अधिका भवेत् । सद्ग्रन्थान् सच्चरित्राणि च पठनीयानि । सज्जनानां सहवासः अधिकतया करणीयः । एतस्य सर्वस्य कारणतः सर्वदा मनसि सद्विचाराः एव उत्पद्येरन् ' इति ।

A disciple asked his teacher, ‘Why do we always remember the things we shouldn't? What should we do?’ The teacher replied, ‘Simply thinking about forbidden things doesn't cause harm, but thinking about them again and again can lead to actions. So, focus on good things. Do good deeds. Read good books and stories of noble people. Spend time with good people. By doing this, good thoughts will come to your mind’.

What is बालमोदिनी?

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
