GenXpert | Rick Carman

Forgive & Forget | Day 23 | GenXpert (#0025) Hey everybody, it's Rick Carman again. Welcome back to GenXpert. We are on Day 23. That's right, Day 23 of the Patriot Push-Up Challenge. We are doing 31 days of 31 push-ups in the month of July for the push-up challenge to honor our Patriots and our Veterans and anybody else who had anything to do with keeping the country free and bringing this country here to us.And so that's what we're doing. We're on Day 23. I'm so excited. It's a little bit cooler here today. We're going to do a little bit more yard work here today. but I wanted to get out here and knock these push-ups out before I did some yard work so that I wouldn't be too tired afterwards. So let's get on it.Rick Carman (01:20.364)Ready one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four, twenty-five, twenty-six, twenty-seven, twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty, thirty-one.Rick Carman (01:55.138)Okay. I don't know what happened. Something pooped on me or something. I don't know. That's 31, man. They're getting easier. They're getting a lot easier every Day. They're getting easier and easier. Maybe I'll do 32 tomorrow. No, I'm just kidding. I won't do that. so anyway, I don't know if I have much wisdom for you today.Rick Carman (02:20.706)I was thinking, I was talking to a friend earlier today and he said he said something about forgiveness. And I was thinking about forgiveness. You know, it is pretty hard for us sometimes to forgive those who've who've done us wrong. We all have somebody that's done us wrong. You know, it's says somewhere in the Bible not to harbor that that unforgiveness. Because if we harbor unforgiveness, what's it say about us? The Lord forgives us for all our sins, but we can't forgive our brothers and sisters. How's the Lord supposed to forgive us if we can't forgive anyone else? So think about that. If you're harboring unforgiveness towards someone,I know it's difficult, I know it's hard, but the Lord forgives us for the awful things we do. And if He can forgive us, we must forgive anyone else. And remember, revenge is the Lord's, it's not ours. So just keep that in mind. If you're going through a tough time, if you're dealing with something where someone has wronged you severely, or you had a horrible child upbringing.Doesn't mean you have to forget what happened. You know, it doesn't mean you have to be someone's best friend. But in your heart, you need to forgive them with the Lord, pray about it, and say, Lord, take this burden from me, take this hate from me, and because it can eat you up inside, it's not good for you. just let it go and be be at peace with it.Hand it to the Lord. That's that's why He's here. Hand it to the Lord and say, Lord, deal with this person. Deal with my feelings. If you're having trouble, say, Lord, take these feelings away from me and give me peace. Because honestly, if you can't forgive somebody, they're living rent-free in your head, right? If you can't forgive somebody, they're they're they've got you right where they want you. So you're really just hurting yourself. Holding that holding that unforgiveness. SoRick Carman (04:42.392)Just think about that. If you're dealing with that, maybe that message is supposed to hit with you somewhere, somebody out there. I don't know. try to find some good things to talk about, some wisdom to share, and maybe maybe maybe I need to pray a little bit more. Maybe God will give me something to share with you that somebody needs out there. So maybe I'll focus on that more. Maybe I should focus on prayer more. So, so anyway, we're on Day 23.
