Sounds Like These by ICMP London

Lara chats with Audrey Riley, cellist, composer, arranger and MD with over 30 years of experience, currently teaching on ICMP's BMus and MMus Popular Music Performance programmes.

Show Notes

Lara asked Audrey to go through some of the work she's credited on (the list is endless), including her collaboration with The Smiths - the first of her career - Moloko on the amazing 'The Time Is Now', Coldplay on their album 'A Rush Of Blood To The Head", The Foo Fighters on "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace", and The Smashing Pumpkins on the eternal track "Tonight, Tonight". Audrey shared her experience working on these classic tracks as well as some anecdotes from those studio days. She also delved into more philosophical sides of music, both as a creative and curious person and as a listener and lover of music in its many forms. Audrey also shared her love for teaching, especially at ICMP, and how this job allows her to challenge her beliefs when it comes to music and, of course, life.
