TWU Chapel

Steven Abraham has served in various ministry roles over the past 25 years. He and his wife, Shinnie graduated from a Bible School in 1996 (affiliated with Salt and Light Ministries), before serving as pastor over two city churches in South Asia. As a bi-vocational minister, he has also worked as a senior leadership and organization development specialist in the secular marketplace. His passion and calling are to equip the church and see God’s kingdom extend into the community. Today, he serves as the pastor of The Kings Community Church, in Langley, British Columbia. Shinnie is an experienced Christian counselor. Their daughters, Sheena and Sara, are undergraduate students at Trinity Western University. Steven loves to go on nature walks whenever possible with his wife and Watson, their poodle or listen to music or read a book over a cup of good coffee.

TWU Chapel is a space to engage with and respond to God's story of redemption in Jesus Christ. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11 AM, all members of the Trinity community are invited to gather for a moment of worship and a short word. Throughout the semester, you'll also have opportunities to hear from special guests in our local community and abroad. Take a listen to Rev. Dr. James Ellis III and special guest speakers at our time in Chapel for the semester.

What is TWU Chapel?

Take a moment to refocus on Christ with the Trinity Western University Chapel Podcast.

Hosted by Chaplain Ed Gerber, Chapel messages are delivered by a wide range of speakers and seek to touch on topics of special relevance for today's Christian. Devotion services are facilitated by Associate Chaplain Jennifer Graves, and include immersive student led contemplative, meditative, and Christian spiritual practices to refocus and refresh.

TWU Chapel seeks to empower the Trinity Western University community to think truthfully, act justly, and live faithfully for the good of the world and the glory of God through worship, Word, and reflection.

TWU Chapel services can be experienced daily on the Trinity Western campus in the David E. Enarson Gym at 11 a.m.
