TradeMutt Radio

Nick Sutherland is a mental health practitioner and founder of Myndfit. He is what's considered to be a "lived experience" practitioner, meaning instead of taking the conventional scholastic route to becoming a psychotherapist, I went to the "school of life" and his initial teachers were mistakes and challenging experiences.

Nick has been a fantastic teacher and sounding board for TradeMutt when it comes to mental health. He comes from a very relatable back ground, being an ex-recon soldier in the Australian Army. He also takes the approach of equipping people with the tools and resources needed to understand their own mental health. Nick is passionate about helping blokes to understand that we all have mental health and that it's our personal responsibility to keep it in shape.

Part 2 with Nick Sutherland takes a deeper dive into common symptoms that we hear people in the TradeMutt family struggle with. 2 of the biggest factors that cause stress for many people, is finances and relationships.

We take a dive into these topics with Nick, but quickly discover that it is actually our perception of success and happiness as well as the idea that things in our lives should or shouldn't be the way they are. We explore the idea that attachment is the source of all suffering, but what does this actually mean.

What is TradeMutt Radio?

TradeMutt Radio is hosted by two Aussie tradies that put down the tools and embarked on a mission to change the face of mental health in Australia by using bright and funky work wear as a way to start conversations and make an invisible issue impossible to ignore. Ed Ross and Dan Allen take a colourful spin on blue collar mental health sharing yarns from under the TradeMutt bonnet, hearing from mutters first hand and taking a dive into relevant topics from from their own perspective while also leaning on the expertise of mental health professionals from their not for Profit, TIACS.
