In Part 2, I’m still hanging out with John O’Keeffe during the Edinburgh Fringe; wandering around, bumping into other comics, drinking coffee and talking about comedy, writing, remembering people and stumbling through the Fringe.
John’s an Irish comedian gigging across Ireland, the UK and Europe. Honest, anxious, self-depreciating with a bite and always getting in his own way.
We chat about how weird the Fringe can make your brain, accidentally bump into other comedians along the way, and generally just let the conversation go wherever it wants. Nothing too formal.
Going Places is simply me spending time with other comics in the real world, not a studio, not a couch, just… out and about. Hopefully it shows the human side of stand-ups, and gives you a sense of who they are when they’re not onstage.
