What is The Count of Monte Cristo?

Falsely accused of treason, Edmond Dantès endures a 14-year imprisonment in the Château d'If. Upon escaping, he stumbles upon a hidden treasure, utilizing it to meticulously orchestrate revenge as the enigmatic Count of Monte Cristo against those who betrayed him.
