Patriot Church Radio

On today’s Patriot Church Radio, Pastor John Vacchiano welcomes KCarl Smith, author of Douglass vs. Marx: The Battle for America’s Soul, for a thought-provoking conversation about two very different visions of freedom, government, responsibility, and the human person.
Smith’s book creates a historical dialogue between Frederick Douglass and Karl Marx using their actual writings and ideas as the foundation. The conversation explores Douglass’s experience with slavery, his belief in God-given rights and personal responsibility, and how his understanding of liberty contrasts with the philosophy of Marxism.

Pastor John and KCarl also discuss the importance of understanding history, the influence of competing worldviews on today’s culture and education, and why the words and legacy of Frederick Douglass remain relevant in conversations about faith, freedom, and the future of America.
