Michael Olmsted of Olmstead Group is a mentor, connector, and entrepreneur. A proud U.S Army Veteran, Michael served with the 4th Infantry Division, the 32nd Air Defense Command, and the US Army Electronics Proving Grounds. He credits the military as one of the reasons he has found success and says he has a duty and passion to help other veterans, and now does that through counseling veteran owned startups and businesses.

After leaving the army, Michael spent 30 years in the corporate world, serving in several senior roles. He now uses his experiences and wisdom to lead, teach, and push people towards achieving their goals. He shares his experience of leaving the army and explains his thoughts on planning, and how and when it is beneficial, he says it is never too late to plan but that the longer you wait the more difficult it can become.

We discuss the difficulties and significant changes veterans face during the transition to civilian life. Michaell shares his wisdom and great tips on overcoming transitional periods and how to approach building your passions and dreams wisely.
