Coming up next on The Jeff Crilley Show, you're gonna meet the great doctor Marla. She is an author, speaker, TV host, and heads up Doctor. Marla Ministries, her incredible journey just ahead. Studios and have a huge team. And the stories I now get to share are sometimes the most important of my life. Life is a fun way to come around full circle. This is the Jeff Crilley Show. Well, I love people who have found their calling and that perfectly describes my next guest. Doctor. Marla is an author, speaker, TV host, and my friend. Thank you for coming on the show. Thank you. I appreciate it so much. Well, it's such a Well, blessing. So let's talk let's go back to the early days of your ministry. When did that start for you? In 2014, the Lord called me years before that, but it took years for me to really surrender to that calling. I didn't understand it. He called me at the altar, years prior to that and told me to take his word around the world in a vision. And at the time, just had my fourth child. And so I was like, God, what does that mean? And then over a period of time, I went to seminary and, the Lord led me there to learn in a very deep level His Word. And then in 2014, I felt the Lord calling me on the radio after being a women's director at a church. And so, after being a women's director and going into radio is really, you know, where the God led me to teach on the radio at first. Wow. And tell me about the radio days. What was that like for you? Well, honestly, it was so scary. Was it? I mean, I love to teach and I was a previous elementary school teacher, but teaching children in a classroom is way different than teaching God's Word on the radio. Yes. And it just took me a little time to understand a rhythm. It's kind of a rhythm. And the owner of the radio station was so sweet. He he just trained me and helped me, and and it took me really about a year to sort of understand how to do a message in a short period of time on the radio, but it ended up just being a blast. I absolutely loved it, and so, that's what I did for about five years. And then you got a calling to move to TV? And then, yes, as I was in the middle of finally, like, enjoying radio, getting kind of the idea of how to do it all, then the Lord was putting a nudge in my heart to do TV ministry, and I laughed so hard when I felt that nudge because I was like, Lord, I didn't know how to do radio ministry, but TV ministry is way different than radio. Like in radio, can wear a ponytail and sweats and no one sees you. But as the Lord developed that nudge in me, it grew, you know, it just grew. And then the Lord led me to a videographer, and He led me to meet some owners of TV stations. So I started on Golden Eagle Broadcasting, which is Oral Roberts University in Tulsa. I started there and they were so gracious and kind. David Groves, who runs the TV network there, invited me on and I told David when I met him, I said, Do you understand? I've never done this. I don't know what I'm doing. I don't know how to do this. And he just laughed. He said, Oral Roberts didn't either when God called him to do TV ministry. And he said, If you love the Lord and you love His Word, He'll work it out. And so that was my journey that started. He just helped me be calm about it. Just trust the Lord and teach the Word. And so, God led me to different avenues, and God opened doors. I ended up being on NRB TV and Super Channel Florida I'm still on right now. So, you know, it's just amazing how you feel like you have no idea what you're doing and then God just, you know, He just blossoms where land. If you just say yes, He'll figure out the rest. Amen. We're gonna pull up your website, and as we scroll around the website, I want you to talk about how how your ministry is different from others that are out there. I think it's a little unique because I'm a female evangelist. So, not only do I teach on TV, but my heart is evangelism, and I believe we are in the last days. I believe the world is showing us, especially as we're filming this, America just bombed Iran, and from all the signs that we see and prophecies being fulfilled, I believe Jesus is about ready to return. Mhmm. And I believe more than ever, whatever role that God has me, whatever lane and role He wants me in, I want to be in that lane and that role and currently He's honestly leading me more out of being on TV ministry and more into live events, doing conferences and going into churches and even on the streets. So, He's kind of shifting. I'm being shifted currently. Know, I did radio, TV, and now it's like shifting to live audiences. So, I just say, Lord, not my will, but your will be done in my life. And so, that's kind of a shift I'm seeing right now. I don't know what that's gonna look like Sure. Exactly, but I'm just like, Lord, you lead and I'll go. Mhmm. And she wrote this amazing book. It's called She Is Possible. We're gonna put this on the screen so you can see what this looks like. Tell us about the book, and is there a favorite chapter? Well, the Lord laid this on my heart for years. He wanted me to write a book for women, like to speak to the heart of women. And it's really it's a message to women to see that no matter what the impossibilities are in your life, we all have impossibilities, but if we trust in God, you can turn it around. So, so I start out by in the first chapter talking about when I was an orphan. I was born an orphan, and I was adopted at three and a half months old, and the Lord put me in a wonderful family. But because I was an orphan, I relate to Esther because Esther became an orphan. So in my second chapter of my book, I talk about unstoppable like Queen Esther. She was the underdog to unstoppable like orphaned Queen Esther. You know, so that's really on my heart to show women like Esther. I mean, when she became an orphan and she was Jewish and had to go live with her cousin Mordecai in Persia, which is modern day Iran actually, it looked like there was no way her life would go from an orphan to being the queen of a country where she's her not heritage. So I just love to look at how God can do anything, really. Scripture says, With God all things are possible. So that's really where She is Possible comes from, is from that Scripture, with God all things are possible. That's beautiful. I wanted to talk a little bit about your TV show. We're gonna pull up the YouTube page that features all your latest content. What kind of subjects do you tackle on your show? How do you decide what to talk about? Well, as some of them, you know, God's glory. Mhmm. I love to talk about God's glory. Yes. I love to talk about the Holy Spirit. Mhmm. I love to talk about the women in the Bible, of course. I love to talk about King David and how here again, you know, as a young shepherd boy Yeah. How in the world it looks impossible. How in the world could a young shepherd boy become a king of Israel and be one of the greatest kings of all time? So how does that happen? You know, how could he go into battle with a giant and win that battle? Yes. And and I love what King David taught us before he became king and when he went into that battle with, Goliath. Mhmm. He said, it won't be by spear, javelin, or sword. It won't be by the world's ways Yes. That we win a battle. It's by the spirit of the Lord Mhmm. That we win the battle. And so, I draw much inspiration from God's word Yes. And especially King David and seeing how he went like we talk about Esther, David went from that shepherd boy to being one of the greatest kings. Well, it seems like we need to lean on faith more than ever before. Mean, there's so much chaos on on the world and so much evil and hate. And so in the final two minutes or so, I want you to look into the camera on the left and talk to that person who's fearful, who's who's worried about the future. Well, I immediately think of we don't have a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. And if you're fearing something, I know we can look at the news and think, gosh, you know, it looks like World War three might be breaking out. Well, you know what? God has prophecies to fulfill, and I believe with all my heart, if we trust in the Lord with all of our heart, but we don't lean on our own understanding, if we acknowledge him in all of our ways, he's gonna direct our pathway. And so if we just lean on the Lord and trust in Him and we don't allow that spirit of fear to come in, I believe God's gonna work everything out in our life. And here's what I've learned, even when we're in the midst of a valley, if we trust in the Lord, the you know, he says the yoke is easy, the burden is light, and so he's gonna just he's gonna take care of us, but we just have to lean on him. So I don't know what you're going through or what your battles But if we look at Scripture and see how God you know, God saw people in all throughout the Bible, you know, He saw Mary Magdalene who was demon possessed, He saw Rahab who had been a prostitute, and he sees all these people that seem like, wow, they're the least likely one that could do anything for his kingdom. And I'm sure Rahab, when she faced, the possibility of Jericho being wiped out her her country and yet she wasn't even a believer but God looked down and he saw some kind of faith in Rahab. That's the God we serve. He sees every he put in every single person, He put a spark of hope and faith in us because we're made in the image of God. But then He gives us that choice to receive that and say, Yes, I want my faith in You, Lord. And when you receive that faith from Jesus, then he adopts you. He adopts you into the kingdom and you become a child of God. And when you become a child of God, I'm telling you what, brother and sister, there's absolutely nothing impossible for you. If he can take me, a girl that was an orphan at birth, I have no idea, I'm I'm old enough that you would think, oh, I bet she met someone in her history. I know nothing about my biological history, but I know this. I'm part of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, and that's my history. That is my future. And when you become His, honestly, you have Jesus, you have everything. So just keep trusting in the Lord no matter what the circumstances look like. And I'm here to tell you God's going to work out your future, so trust in Him! Wow! What a beautiful message! Thank you for sharing your heart and your faith with us. Will We end with her website, which is drmarla.org. The great Doctor. Marla, thanks for coming on the show. You. I so God appreciate bless you. Thank you. That's it for now. We will see you next time.
