Inside Groove Supermodified Podcast 126 - REWIND: 1973 Classic - Andrews Beats The Deuce

Welcome to episode 126 of the Inside Groove Supermodified Podcast, brought to you by Steering Wheel Nation.

This is a "classic" episode of The Groove Show, as host Tom Baker takes us back 50 years to relive the 1973 International Classic 200 at the famed Oswego Speedway.  Beginning the show with some fun facts from that year, Tom sets a humorous tone for the rest of the episode, using the 1974 Classic Program to recap Kenny Andrews' somewhat controversial '73 win, after brushing wheels with the Immortal "Little Deuce" of Jimmy Winks in a pass for the win.  Then, he reads one of the funniest "Iver The Driver" columns ever written - taking us through a "dream" Iver had that it was the year 2024, the Classic was 68 years old and we'll let you listen to hear the rest - we don't want to spoil it for you!  This episode's What's In A Number segment discusses the number 26, and Tom finishes with an update on Dave Shullick Jr's status for this year's Classic and another little bit of news.

Don't miss this one-of-a-kind episode of The Groove!
