Ok guys so today I'm gonna kickstart a new series.
Last week was Part 3 of the "What the Funk" podcasts and this week sees the start of my "Gods of Rap" series starting with the one and only PUBLIC ENEMY.
Inevitably at some point these two genres are going to meet as Hip Hop was overwhelmingly influenced by Funk and my god are we gonna have some fun along the way. Starting with tunage from the first 2 Public Enemy albums."Yo Bum Rush the Show" and "It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back".
Let me take you on a journey to the very heart of Hip Hop and Rap.
The Riff Monkeys are Bryan Wells (AKA Mr Freaklips) a British Musician, sognwriter, rapper, DJ, music/video producer and podcaster, and Sami James, an Estepona based singer/songwriter who spent several years on the London and Brighton music scenes.
They waffle on about some of their favourite tracks and albums as well as checking out the best of today's new music, dissing on some of the people that grind their gears in 'twat of the week' and generally cluing you up up musically and riffing about htings they feel you need to know (you can thank them later).
