नोबेल्-पुरस्कारविजेता भारतरत्नं चन्द्रशेखरवेङ्कटरामः प्रसिद्धः विज्ञानी चेदपि प्रतिदिनं देवपूजानिमित्तम् उपनिषदादिग्रन्थपारायणाय च कञ्चित् समयं नियततया व्ययीकरोति स्म । एतत् जानन् कश्चन विज्ञानी वदति 'प्रसिद्धः विज्ञानी भवान् । यानि विज्ञानसिद्धानि न, तादृशेषु अंशेषु भवतः प्रवृत्तिः न उचिता' इति । तदा वेङ्कटरामः अवत् 'इदानीं तु विज्ञानसिद्धानि न । किन्तु भाविनि काले यदि तेषां विषये प्रमाणं लभ्येत तर्हि मया पश्चात्तापः न अनुभोक्तव्यः स्यात् । अपि च दैनिकनियमैः यदि वयम् आत्मानं बध्नीयाम तर्हि फलं न प्राप्येत चेदपि नियमपालनप्रवृत्तिः तु अस्मान् उपकुर्यात् एव । अतः एव अहं स्वजीवने कांश्चन दैनिकनियमान् पालयामि ' इति ।

Another scientist once remarked: ‘As a famous scientist, it is not proper for you to engage in things not proven by science’. Raman replied: ‘They may not be scientifically proven now, but if evidence arises in the future, I will not regret having practiced them. Moreover, even if rituals yield no direct results, the discipline of daily practice itself benefits us. That is why I follow certain daily rules in my life’.

What is बालमोदिनी?

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
