In this lesson of Sūrah Al-Ḥijr (verses 45–66), Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explains Allah’s promise of Jannah for the righteous, Gardens, springs, peace, and hearts purified of all bitterness, where no tiredness or fear ever exists. Allah reminds His servants that He is the Most Forgiving and Most Merciful, while His punishment is also severe. The verses then recount the visit of the angels to Ibrāhīm with the glad tidings of a son and their mission to punish the corrupt people of Lūṭ, saving his family except his wife. Their arrival to Lūṭ confirms the truth of the coming punishment and the command to leave by night, showing Allah’s mercy for the believers and His justice upon those who persist in wrongdoing.
