Scripture: Jeremiah 29:4-11

The prophet tells the exiles not to be anxious about how long their detour in Babylon would last. Instead, they were called to seek the welfare of the city where they were, which meant settling in, building houses, planting gardens, and raising families. We can only do that if we believe in God’s promise of “a future filled with hope.”
