Show Notes

Steven Spielberg! He's back. One of the true masters of the cinematic medium is re-teaming with semi-frequent collaborator Tom Hanks to bring us Bridge of Spies - an old-school Cold War drama about the defence of a Russian spy caught on American soil.

The premise seems strong, and with both Jon and Matt being enormous Spielberg fans, expectations are high. Will this be "top-tier" Spielberg, sitting along side masterpieces such as Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan, or will this be one of his lesser "serious" films, more in line with Amistad?

Join Matt & Jon as they discuss the trailer for Bridge of Spies. Then - after the film has been released - they return to discuss the feature itself.

What is The PrePost Film Review?

In each episode of The PrePost Film Review hosts Jon Asquith and Matt Stephenson discuss a film over two distinct periods.

First - brief, spoiler free impressions of a trailer upon its release. Followed by a spoiler-filled review recorded months later once the film hits cinemas.

A thoughtful and occasionally funny look at how trailers represent films.
