Laurie's Passport Footy Podcast

In this episode, Pénélope Cuirinier reflects on her formative years at the professional soccer academy of Olympique Lyonnais in France, where she honed her skills over the course of 10 years. She then contrasts soccer culture in the U.S. with France football culture, sharing her insights on the differences in playing styles and the evolution of her role as a goalkeeper. Through our conversation, Penelope opens up about the challenges she have faced and describes how her daily life in the U.S. now differs drastically from her time in Europe.

What is Laurie's Passport Footy Podcast?

Welcome to my podcast! I am your host Laurie-Anne Renaud and I am a student-athlete at the University of Akron. I have played soccer/football my entire life in Canada, in the United States and in Europe, and I've always wanted to create a fun and educative podcast for international soccer players! We are so many and often struggle with the same problems and challenges! I would love to gather all of us, connect and share our experience to let people know our takes and our unique journeys in order to keep developing our beautiful game!
