Kasra Dash: If you are a pest control company and you're looking for a consistent flow of inquiries generated every single day for your business, this video is for you. Myself and James, we've worked with a lot of different pest control companies throughout the UK, so we know exactly which strategies work, which strategies don't work, and what you should be avoiding completely. We're going to be breaking it down in this video step by step. So, James, take it away. James Dooley: Step number one, what I'd be looking to do to grow is a Google Business Profile. If you already have one, I'd be making certain that I would be reaching out to all my existing clients to try to get me as many five star reviews as possible. It's a great way for a Google Business Profile to generate more leads. There's obviously getting citations and doing Google Business Profile posts and uploading photos on there. So that's definitely step one that I would be doing to try to generate more local leads. Kasra Dash: Step number two, this is to bolster your actual Google Business Profile. I’d be creating dedicated service pages for each of your individual services as SEO-optimised pages on your website. When you start doing that, it's also going to help rank your actual SEO page, but there's also more chance of your Google Business Profile showing up for those keywords as well. So you're indirectly going to get more phone calls too. James Dooley: Yeah, for sure. And if you are looking for more local leads, another option you could be doing is PPC lead generation. That's pay-per-click within Google or within Bing where you're targeting bottom of the funnel keywords to generate more inquiries. The difficult part is you need to team up with a good pay-per-click agency because there is click fraud and there's also needing to build up a negative keyword list so it's not people applying for jobs. PPC can work well but in the wrong hands you can waste a lot of money, but it's another way of generating local leads. Kasra Dash: Yeah. And then after that you've also got meta ads as well. Facebook, Instagram. The next time somebody goes on Facebook, they might be scrolling and see your ad. There's a few different ways to run Facebook ads. You've got lead forms which are really easy. They don’t even leave Facebook. The issue with lead forms is the quality might not be great, but you can add more questions to improve that quality. Then you've got conversion ads as well where they go to your website and fill out the contact form. So you've got a couple of different options there. James Dooley: Yeah, for sure. And then another way to grow more local leads could be organic social media. Posting regularly on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram. There's lots of different platforms out there. Reddit's quite big nowadays. Quora is quite big if people have questions and you can answer them. So organic social media is another great way to generate more local leads. Kasra Dash: With organic social media, I’d say it's more of a volume game. You want to make certain you're constantly uploading. Maybe a daily schedule or a weekly schedule. You might say, "I want to upload five videos a week." And you should try to stick to that, especially when it comes to algorithms like YouTube and Twitter. James Dooley: Yeah, for sure. What's your thoughts on using AI agents? If someone can team up with a consultant to use something like N8N to automate and schedule posts on social media. What's your thoughts on that, using artificial intelligence? It's all the rage nowadays for generating more leads. Would you team up with an AI consultant? Kasra Dash: Yeah. You can definitely go down that route where you're setting up AI agents to crop videos and auto-publish to YouTube, Facebook, Twitter. But another thing I'd focus on is AI search. A lot of people have slowly started to move away from Google. Not everyone, because billions still use it daily. But some people are searching in engines like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok. If your brand isn't showing up in any of those, you will have an issue generating leads through those search engines as well. So that's another big focus for companies. James Dooley: Yeah. And also, if you're looking for more business leads in the local area, I'd definitely be looking to team up with tradespeople websites. You've got Checkatrade, Bark, Builder Builder, TrustATrader, Rated People. All these platforms can generate you more local leads. You should be tracking KPIs to see your return on investment. Track cost per lead, cost per acquisition, and how much you're getting back. Tradespeople websites can work very well. Check out the links in the description because we do a lot of videos comparing Checkatrade with FatRank or Bark with FatRank and so on. So Casra, what's your thoughts on lead generation companies as opposed to tradespeople companies? Kasra Dash: Yeah. With lead generation companies, I'd say every single one requires due diligence. Make certain that if you're in a specific niche, that company has actually generated leads in that industry before. I'd also have a strategy call with them. Say, "This is my budget, this is how many leads I want," etc. Make certain your KPIs align with the lead generation company. You also want to make certain of the type of leads. Are they exclusive leads? Are they only going to you? Or are they shared leads, which is what a lot of companies like Bark and Checkatrade do. Whenever myself and James have spoken to business owners, one of their biggest pain points is, "It's a shared lead, and it's a rat race to the bottom of who's the cheapest." So that's something I’d always ask before partnering up. James Dooley: Yeah, for sure. If anyone is interested in generating more local leads, I strongly recommend heading over to fatrank.com where we have a commission-based lead generation service. You only pay a finders fee on converted jobs. You've nothing to pay per lead. You pay nothing until you get paid. You convert the job on a pay-per-sale basis, complete the job, get paid, and only then pay fatrank.com. So head on over to fatrank.com to see whether you qualify. But I want to expand a little further. What is your thoughts on inbound lead generation versus outbound lead generation? Kasra Dash: I always prefer inbound. The conversion rate of not just getting the lead, but converting the lead into a paying customer is a lot higher. The last stat I saw was around 16.1 percent converting into paying customers, as opposed to 1.4 percent for outbound leads. James Dooley: Yeah, that's crazy. It's like a 10 to 12 times higher conversion rate. Kasra Dash: Yeah. It's crazy how much more conversion that is. You need a lot of volume for outbound. Cold calling, cold email, LinkedIn sales navigator. You might need more staff to do it. People sometimes think they're generating free leads, but there's still the cost of email sending, the sales team trying to convert them, and so on. So inbound leads are so much better. But what's your thoughts when people ask if real-time leads are important? James Dooley: Yeah, it's very important. The last stat we saw internally was that real-time leads convert 60 to 65 percent higher. I think we worked it out at 63 percent. When we got the KPIs, the target was responding within under a minute. We used to think five minutes was good, but under a minute massively increases conversion. Inquiry comes in, can you ring them or email them straight away thanking them and getting more information. Kasra Dash: I'm not saying every company must respond in under a minute. There are things we look at when partnering with companies at FatRank. Some businesses fall short because they're away for five days and have nobody to pick up leads while we still provide them. These little nuances matter. But the best thing I'd recommend to anyone wanting consistent high-quality leads is fill out the form at FatRank. The team will tell you if you're the right fit, and if not, they'll explain why and tell you what to do next. James Dooley: So I hope you liked all the strategies to grow your pest control business. We generate a lot of pest control leads at fatrank.com. Could be wasp nest removal, bee nest removal, pigeons in lofts. Lots of different reasons why pest control is needed. Head over to fatrank.com and hopefully you're the next pest control company we generate leads for.
