What is Spitefully Yours with Andrea Welker?
Spitefully Yours is a podcast about what happens when the healthcare system gaslights you, dismisses you, or leaves you behind - and what it takes to fight back.
Hosted by Andrea Welker, patient advocate, communication coach, and professional survivor, the show blends raw honesty, dark humor, and lived experience to shine a light on the broken parts of healthcare that most people never talk about.
Each episode dives into the real struggles patients face: bad providers, insurance hurdles, misdiagnoses, gaslighting, and the uphill fight to simply be heard. Along the way, you’ll get plain-language scripts, practical tools, and strategies you can use at your very next appointment. This is advocacy with teeth - fueled by documentation, rage, and the refusal to settle for less than deserved care.
Spitefully Yours is for patients with chronic or complex conditions, caregivers, neurodivergent adults, and anyone tired of being dismissed by the system. It’s also for providers brave enough to hear what it’s really like on the other side of the table from the patient perspective.
This isn’t theory. It isn’t fluff. It’s a survival guide - told with sarcasm, spite, and the stubborn belief that we deserve better.
Listener discretion is advised. Stay spiteful, my friends.
