In April 2010 a tragic set of circumstances would take place, when WBC lightweight champion Edwin "El Inca" Valero was arrested for killing his wife after her body was found in a hotel room. Just the next day, Valero would be found dead in his cell after seemingly using his own clothes to hang himself in an apparent suicide.
