Episode 130 - Rewind: 4WD Controversy, Recaps: Evans Mills and Lancaster

Welcome to episode 130 of the Inside Groove Supermodified Podcast, brought to you by Steering Wheel Nation.

Host Tom Baker takes us back nearly 50 years to 1976, when the Oswego Speedway and those in supermodified racing were pondering whether or not to ban four wheel drive capability in the class.  In an article published in the 1976 Classic Yearbook written by John Hill, all sides of the issue are presented, letting us gain some insight into the factors going into the ultimate decision to enact the ban following that season.

Camden Proud joins Baker to break down the recent John Burr Classic for the ISMA Supers at Evans Mills along with the SBS shows there and at Lancaster's US Open.

What's In A Number?  The Number 30 and its relevance to Oswego Speedway and supermodified racing is this week's segment focus, and Tom talks about Slammin' Sammy Carista and the Carista family among others who carried that number through the years.
