Reading 1 Kings Chapter 14

Jeroboam tried to send his wife incognito to the prophet Ahijah. The ruse is pointless because 1) Ahijah is blind, and 2) God tells Ahijah she is coming. The message he gives her is bad news. Rehoboam gets attacked by Shishak, the current Egyptian pharaoh, who takes all the golden shields that Solomon had made. Read from the World English Bible.
