Meet Kristina, in her own words:
Hello! My name is Kristina (Krissy).
My parents immigrated from the Philippines to the United States and I was born and raised in the Bay Area. In my free time, I loooove yoga, drawing, baking and going on long hikes with my two pups, Cupcake and Gelato (Cupcake is a Chihuahua and Gelato is a German Shepherd!).  I'm quite passionate about health care and research. I studied Neuroscience at UC San Diego, researched metabolic regulatory pathways at Scripps Research Institute and led medical relief projects in Sub-Saharan Africa and Central America. Right now, I am wrapping up my Master's of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at USC and am working on COVID-19 research projects at a Biotech company. I am very grateful for my mom's sacrifices, and as such I'm the only person in my family to graduate from college. Within the past few years, I've been on a journey to discovery my identity and value beyond professional or academic accomplishments.
