Show Notes

It's another eclectic mix of our thoughts on Scottish and UK politics from a left/indy perspective.

We kick off with Nicola Sturgeon's latest Covid briefing where we found out what wasn't going to happen and we speculate on what new measures to combat the rise in infections will be announced tomorrow.

Boris Johnson has claimed that the UK could become the Saudi Arabia of wind power. Lesley is sceptical, to say the least, not only on the Tory commitment to green energy but also, given their track record in government, their ability to deliver this pledge.

I chip in on ,the Gradgrind ideology of the UK government as evidenced by, Prime Minister in waiting, Rishi Sunak's lack of support for the creative industries.

Christine Jardine of the Lib Dems, remember them folks, has been weighing in on what she claims are SNP empty promises on an independent Scotland rejoining the EU. Lesley wonders just what the Lib Dems now actually stand for, given their embrace of Brexit.

All this plus the second reading of the Covert Human Intelligence Sources Bill, Mossmorran flaring, picking brambles, Mike Brierley and Led Zeppelin.
