Shame causes us to believe that we are monsters because we see ourselves through the lens of the mistakes that we have committed or the sins that we struggle with.
- So we see God as a Monster Hunter trying to track us down to punish us for our wrong doings (Hence why Adam+Eve hid from God in the garden)
- God does not hunt monsters. God pursues His children
- The enemy uses shame to keep us from God. But God uses His kindness to draw us back to Him
