भवेत् को मुक्तिदायकः ?

बहुभ्यः वर्षेभ्यः कश्चन पण्डितः उपदेशकथादिकं प्रतिदिनं घण्टां यावत् राज्ञे श्रावयति स्म । तथापि राज्ञः कोपशीलतादयः न अपगताः, मनस्संयमः वा न प्राप्तः । चिन्ताक्रान्तः पण्डितः कञ्चन साधुमहाराजं दृष्ट्वा स्वव्यथाम् अकथयत् ।  सः साधुमहाराजः राजमन्दिरं गत्वा - 'स्वयं मुक्तः एव बद्धं मोचयितुं शक्नुयात् । यः स्वयं न धनमुक्तः, क्रोधमुक्तः, कामनामुक्तः वा सः कथम् अन्यं मोचयितुं शक्नुयात्' इति केनचित् प्रयोगेण प्रतिपादयति । लज्जितः खिन्नः सः पण्डितः आत्मानं बन्धमुक्तं कर्तुं साधनां प्रारभत ।

For many years, a scholar would narrate teachings to the king for an entire hour each day. However, the king's anger and other negative traits remained unchanged, and he could not gain self-control. Troubled by this, the scholar went to a wise person and shared his distress. The wise person went to the palace and through an example explained the importance of self-liberation. Realizing this, the scholar felt ashamed and began working on freeing himself from these attachments.

What is बालमोदिनी?

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।

It is believed that listeners will appreciate this effort to make these stories available in Sanskrit. These are the first stories to be podcasted in the Sanskrit language within this field.
