Karma is the Law that binds and balances the entire universe.
Translated literally the Sanskrit term karma means action, which then produces reaction. It affects civilisations, nations, races, groups, individuals and all kingdoms in nature. One reaps the consequences of not only one’s physical actions, but also of one’s emotional and mental life, and of one’s non-action or non-involvement when one had the ability to help. It is the means by which consciousness evolves, and is gauged by the observable and subjective motives underlying one’s actions, as well as the consequence of one’s actions.
By experiencing the consequences of one’s actions, and the sensations of suffering or pleasure, one is eventually impelled to transform one’s grosser tastes into the refined and subtle, one’s desires into aspirations, ignorance into wisdom, and darkness into a resplendent vehicle of Love and Light.
