I'm just waiting on the right wave to ride

From El Porto, California and the Americana Coast Podcast, this is your daily pep talk. I there might be a misconception amongst people who are surfing for the first time. But the expectation is, you need to catch every wave. And if you don't, you look like an idiot. So they don't even try because they don't want to embarrass themselves. Well, let me tell you something. That is so far from the truth. You can watch any surfer and you will watch them try and try and try and try again. ⁓

sometimes before it all comes together and the timing is right and it's the right kind of wave and they're in the right position and it all comes together and they're able to pop up and ride the wave. It's no different than life. You have a lot of opportunities that come your way and the planets don't always align and things don't always fall into place the way that you had hoped they would and that's okay. You just keep trying. You fall, you paddle again, get out there.

and you try to catch the next one. So don't give up on yourself. Don't fear looking like an idiot. Just keep trying. You'll get there. All right. Meanwhile, be good to each other, be kind to each other, love on each other, and we'll talk to you next time.
