Reading 2 Kings Chapter 1

The new king of the northern kingdom of Israel, Ahaziah, gets badly injured, so he sends messengers to a god of Ekron to find out his fate. Before they get to their destination, Elijah intercepts them with bad news. When Ahaziah figures out it is Elijah, it tries to arrest him, but Elijah calls down fire to burn up the first two sets of soldiers. When Elijah finally agrees to do see Ahaziah, he just tells him the same thing. Read from the World English Bible.
